Pedal Rocker
The Broda Pedal Rocker is ergonomically designed to encourage self-mobility and create a calming soothing effect for agitated residents. Its' gentle rocking motion helps to calm individuals, such as those with Alzheimer's, and helps prevent wandering. It is designed for use by individuals who need support while sitting. It has a suspension system of straps that conform individually to the user's body, suspending the user's weight across multiple points. (Broda Comfort Tension Seating®)
The Pedal Rocker has up to 18° of infinitely adjustable tilt in space to help prevent slumping, sliding and falls. Its' unique front pivot tilt is ideal for mobility, as it allows for a proper foot on floor position for foot propelling while tilted.
It is an excellent option for residents who can self propel within a facility. The Pedal Rocker is a comfortable, safe, and stable alternative to an indoor wheelchair.
It is ideal for long-term care, assisted living and acute-care facilities for:
- Residents who are self-mobile, but lack strength and stability.
- Residents requiring light to medium levels of care.
- Alzheimer's/Dementia residents who may like to rock or are agitated and have a tendency to wander.
The floor to seat height adjustment accommodates both short and tall residents, adjusting from 14" to 19".
