How to assess if someone is at fall risk
Questions to Ask:
- Does the person tend to slide?
- Do they try to stand up when they are unable to do so?
- Do they currently use a restraint such as a lap belt?
- Do they get agitated when they can’t move around?
- Do they have a history of falls, and under what circumstances did those falls occur?
- Do they bang their chair into furniture or other residents?
- Are they in pain from their current chair causing them to try to get away from this pain?
If the answer to any of the above questions is "yes", a Broda chair may be the solution. Find out how, by clicking here: Fall Risks
